The Lawyer in Blue Jeans has been servicing clients in and around San Diego for 25 years and this month the firm is rolling out a new podcast and a new website, and a third addition of their popular book “The Wacky World of Laws” is in the works.
While the firm specializes in estate planning, it’s best known for its thoughtful and timely legal analysis of high-profile lawsuits and legal battles, including its entertaining Wacky Wednesday series on social media.
“We’ve been calling out absurd lawsuits – calling balls and strikes if you will – for a while,” said attorney Justin Isaac. “Providing general legal analysis of lawsuits and legal issues making news is tied directly to our brand so it’s a natural extension of the legal work we do. My dad became pretty well known for his on-air analysis and I’m carrying that baton now.”
Isaac is the Principal attorney at the firm his father, Jeff Isaac, founded a quarter century ago.
A successful attorney for decades, Jeff Isaac was best known for his appearances on TV and radio, breaking down complex and newsworthy legal issues for viewers and listeners with just the right amount of charm and personality.
“My dad was an excellent attorney and everyone loved his legal analysis because it was easily understood and it was engaging, relevant and timely,” Justin Isaac said. “My dad personified our brand and the firm’s goal of looking out for the little guy, not the corporate giants.”
The firm is located in the Old Town neighborhood of San Diego. In addition to Justin, The Lawyer in Blue Jeans employs two additional attorneys: James Hess and Christina Garcia.
At the office all of the attorneys wear – you guessed it – blue jeans.
The firm recently updated its website and brand and unveiled a new podcast, the Lawyer in Blue Jeans Podcast. The podcast features Justin as the host. In the episodes released thus far you can listen to Justin discuss Lady Gaga’s dognapper seeking the reward for returning her stolen dogs and Lady Gaga’s refusal to pay the reward. On another new podcast, you can hear Justin and his dad discuss the decision by the public school district to sue social media providers.
The third edition of “The Wacky World of Laws” will give readers updated information on some of the strange laws and court cases that exist in the U.S. and in other parts of the world. The book is co-authored by Justin and his dad.
As for estate planning, Justin says: “There’s so much more to it than who gets what percentage of what. We work with our clients to create the best estate plan for their loved ones. Every situation is different.”
Justin and the other lawyers at the firm hold seminars outlining the do’s and don’ts of estate planning in and around San Diego.
